Summer Markets Recap + Looking Ahead

The summer season is not quite over just yet. There are still a few sit-back-and-relax days left on the calendar (thank goodness!) before we’re all back to school…back to life…back to reality.

We’re happy to report the summer markets (Dallas, Atlanta and Las Vegas) were better than expected. While traffic was a bit off, orders were high! We’re very encouraged by our customers’ collective BIG thumbs up for our new Summer 2022 intros – in particular, Georgie, Alice, Maria + Rumor.

Plus  our early 2022 introductions, including Cooper, Cypress, Piper and Paul, continue to grow and gain traction!

As we get settled back at home + our Hudson, NY headquarters, we are focused on photo shoots for new products, and I’m deep into new product development projects. 

More personally, I’m preparing to send my younger son off to college in the Fall. He’ll be attending Colby College, where he plans to study computer science.

Looking ahead, we are also in the midst of preparing to move into a new showroom in High Point, NC, with our national sales management partner, CODARUS. Renovations are well underway, and we are excited to welcome you!  Be sure to make plans to see us during Market, Oct. 22-26.

In Person, Side By Side

Finally! So good to be back at the Atlanta Market and be able to see customers who have become dear friends, like Mary Ginocchio (center) of Mulberry & Lime in Lexington, Kentucky – seen here with our CODARUS territory sales manager for Kentucky + Tennessee, Nicole Klooster (right).

Nothing beats having an *in-person* meeting with Mary to show her *in person* the beautiful new products we’ve been working on over the past 18 months.

Mulberry & Lime is a terrific TL at Home partner, and we appreciate Mary’s willingness to try out new looks for her store while keeping the classics going. 

As we start turning the page this summer on the pandemic, I am thrilled to be present at the markets again to see my customers and work side by side with them. That’s my favorite part of my job 💛

It’s hard to describe just how special these friendships are, and how much I cherish them.

The Summer 2021 trade show circuit continues…

…And I’m happy to be back with my team at the Atlanta Market this week!
 
It’s my second market this summer (the first was June June High Point Market), and only my second market since the pandemic started last year.
 
 
In celebration of this week’s show and enjoying each other’s in-person company again, CODARUS (my national sales management partner) invited our team Tuesday night for an alfresco dinner at Barcelona Wine Bar in the city’s historic Inman Park (originally a Victoria residential suburb).
 
 
The tapas were delicious, the sangria satisfying and the conversation lively!
 
 
Market mood is now kicking in at our AmericasMart showroom: Building 1, 15-A-1.
